I created my these works for the exhibition Frida Kahlo - I Paint Flowers So They Will Not Die at Galleria Carlo Lucidi. Pain, joy and healing... it was a precious time inspired by Frida Kahlo.
When I think about her very turbulent life. It reminds me that although our lives seem complicated, it is a straight line from beginning to end. We are unique in our makeup as well as in the way we live our lives, and that’s what makes us who we are, I felt like her life was telling us.
These works are made from a single string, just like our lives, and the cotton thread represents her past conflict.
Love the life you live.
What makes you you?
