I created these works for the exhibition “Frida Kahlo – I Paint Flowers So They Will Not Die” at Galleria Carlo Lucidi.
Pain, joy, and healing… it was a precious time, deeply inspired by Frida. Reflecting on her turbulent life, I was reminded that although our journeys may appear complex, they are, in essence, a single straight line from beginning to end.
Her life seems to tell us that it is our unique nature—and the way we choose to live—that truly defines us. Like our lives, these works are formed from a single thread; the cotton thread represents the conflicts she endured.
Love the life you live.
What makes you, you?
